Shortlisted for the City of Vancouver Book Award in 2010, Chris MacDonald's A Guidebook to Contemporary Architecture in Vancouver (Douglas and McIntyre) uses full-colour photographs, architects' drawings and critical essays to showcase a period of rapid urban growth from Expo '86 to the 2010 Winter Games. It was published when MacDonald was Director of the UBC School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. He is the author of Cabin, Cottage and Camp.
