Lorna Brown was Director/Curator of Artspeak Gallery from 1999 to 2004.

Digital Natives documents the contemporary art project Digital Natives, which was displayed on the electronic billboard at the Burrard Street Bridge. Artists were able to contribute from across North America in the form of tweets that disrupted the usual static ads. With the billboard in the heart of the city and Skwxwú7mesh territory this piece was an attempt to bridge communication with the native and non-native. Selected text messages were translated to Skwxwú7mesh, Kwak'wala and h?n'q'?min'?m'/Musqueam languages.
