Sheila Farr is coauthor of Robert Davidson: Abstract Impulse, with Barbara Brotherton and John Haworth. The book presents the Haida carver's abstract work in wood sculpture, jewelry, and prints. Davidson has been producing art for over forty years and commands great attention within critical art circles with multiple solo exhibitions at major institutions. This book explores the formal influences of Haida art on Davidson, as well as gives his emergence historical context and includes an interview with the artist to glean a better understanding of Davidson and his art.
