Identity politics and duality are the concerns voiced in Twoism (Gooose Lane 2016), the first poetry collection by Ali Blythe of Victoria. Shortlisted for the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize, the poems are "erotically charged by the myth of completeness." Blythe previously received the Candis Graham Writing Scholarship from the Lambda Foundation for excellence in writing and support of the queer community. He has had a residency at the Banff Centre and gained a writing degree at the University of Victoria. For his poetry collection, Blythe was shortlisted for the Dayne Ogilvie Prize for LGBTQ emerging writers.
