Anahita Jamali Rad's for love and autonomy is her debut book of poetry that plays with pop culture lyrics and pairs them against Marxist economics as she challenged for a resistance in language. From a place of discomfort emerges the poetry of everyday life while exploring the meaning of identity, romance, and alienation.

Along with her debut book of poetry Jamali Rad has also bound handmade chapbooks such as Un In Uni Form, You and Me Baby, and Patterns, amongst others. Born in Shiraz, Iran, Anahita Jamali Rad now lives in Vancouver and co-organizes the women's critical reading and discussion group, About a Bicycle, as well as co-edits the biannual journal of the same name.
