Jo Macleod was born in Glasgow Scotland in 1951 as the oldest girl of eight children. While living in the Isle of Man she joined the Spiritualist church to learn meditation and energy healing. Her family emigrated to Canada from the Isle of Man in October 1991. She was employed by ICBC in 1996 where she later became a motor vehicle accident Adjuster. She is involved in children's charities which help rid the world of child abuse and trafficking. Today she is retired and lives in Langley BC with her husband, Peter and their Airedale, Toby. She has four grandchildren.

Her novel, Heaven Help Us, A Modern-day Ghost Story Inspired by a True Event (Balboa Press $24.99 USD), is a Supernatural Thriller.
