Not to be confused with the anthropologist Margaret Seguin Anderson, Margaret Anderson was born on October 21, 1916 in Scarborough and moved to B.C. in 1927. She was a founding member of the Langley Writer's Guild in 1981 and in 1996 received a Special Achievement Award in recognition for her contributions to the community of writers, which was presented at the Surrey Writer's Conference. Anderson is the author of Cwan The Armourer, a self-published historical novel about the captivity of John Jewitt at Nootka Sound.
