Born July 6, 1951 in Montreal, Case moved to Victoria in 1975. Associate Professor at SFU, he co-founded The Critical Thinking Cooperative, an association of 29 B.C. school districts, faculties of education, professional associations and other educational organizations. He is the author of Understanding Judicial Reasoning: Controversies, Concepts and Cases (Thompson Educational Publishing, 1997) and The Canadian Anthology of Social Studies: Issues and Strategies for Teachers (Pacific Educational Press, 1999), co-edited with Penney Clark.
