Divorce Your Dollars: Financial Planning Before, During and After Divorce

According to Maple Ridge financial planner Akeela Davis, 37 percent of first-time marriages in Canada end in divorce. Her addition to the Self-Counsel Press legal series is Divorce Your Dollars: Financial Planning Before, During and After Divorce (Self-Counsel Press $18.95) “In the past, divorce was a territory in which only lawyers operated,” says Davis. “However, lawyers are schooled in law, not finance.” Divorce Your Dollars has advice on support payments, prenuptial agreements, pension buyouts and whether to keep the family home, plus tables for calculating net worth and post-divorce expenses. Davis is married with two kids and was the host of the TV show ‘Money Talks.’ 1-55180-430-1
