Sherman Snukal of Vancouver wrote the longest-running play in Vancouver theatre history, Talking Dirty, a contemporary comedy of manners set in Kitsilano. It was published as a book from Harbour Publishing in 1983 after it was first produced by the Arts Club Theatre in October of 1981, directed by Mario Crudo and starring Norman Browning, Dana Still, Sheelagh Megill, Gabrielle Rose and Alana Shields. Further Arts Club productions of plays by Sherman Snukal included Family Matters (1984), Easy Money (1999) and After the Gold Rush (2003). Snukal also writes for television, including a project called Vampire High.
