A professor Emeritus of English at the University of British Columbia, Herbert Rosengarten served as Head of the English Department and Executive Director of the President's Office and co-authored a history of the university, UBC The First 100 Years (University of British Columbia, 2009), with Eric Damer.
Rosengarten also co-edited The Broadview reader, 3rd ed (Peterborough: Broadview Press, 1998) and Modern stories in English, with William H. New, 4th ed. (Toronto: Addison Wesley Longman, 2001.)
