While living in Montreal, Peter White published a book version of his exhibition of photographic colour postcards from British Columbia at North Vancouver's Presentation House Gallery. Including 141 full-colour illustrations, It Pays to Play: British Columbia in Postcards, 1950s-1980s (Arsenal Pulp / Presentation House, 1996) mainly displays images that were used to superficially represent and promote the province for tourism and Chamber of Commerce style boosterism.
