Renowned as a landscape artist, Crerar received her BA in geography/geology from the University of British Columbia. She won the Leon and Thea Koerner Art Scholarship to study at the UBC School of Fine Arts with Jacques de Tonnancour. She studied Japanese brush painting with Kaz Hamasaki and Priest Tanahasi in Toronto. Her paintings were accepted by the Academy of Sumi-e in Osaka, Japan. Her paintings can be found in the Alberta Art Foundation and the Sunshine Village Art Foundation.
