As a former Curator of Mammalogy at the Royal BC Museum, Nagorsen summarized the most up-to-date information on 45 species of rodents, from the tiny Western Harvest Mouse to the toothy Beaver, as well as seven species of lagomorphs (five rabbits and hares; two pikas) in Rodents & Lagomorphs of British Columbia (Royal BC Museum, 2004). His preceding titles included Bats of British Columbia (Royal BC Museum, 1993) with R. Mark Bingham, plus Opposums, Shrews and Moles of British Columbia (Royal BC Museum, 1996).

With Enderby biologist David Hatler and Alison Beal, Nagorsen has provided up-to-date information on the 21 species of wild terrestrial carnivores in the province with Carnivores of British Columbia (Royal BC Museum, 2008). 9780772658692
