G. Mercer Adam (1839-1912) was the author of a Western Canadian history chiefly about the prairies but with some information on Pacific exploration and the fur trade in chapters 1-4 and 7, plus a rare children's book about the 'Marco Polo' of the United States, John Ledyard, who visited Nootka Sound in 1778.
