A logging poet who lived to be more than 100 years old, George McInnis was born in Prince Edward Island in 1875. He travelled from Maine to Puget Sound in 1902. Logging brought him to British Columbia in 1906. Peter Trower wrote two articles about McInnis for the BC Logging News (February, 1976) and Vancouver magazine (September, 1985) after interviewing him in 1975.
