With input from George Clutesi and Howard Adams, Kent Gooderman edited one of the earliest and best anthologies that attempted to present a cross-section of contemporary Aboriginal writing in Canada, I Am An Indian (J.M. Dent & Sons, 1969). Contributors from British Columbia included Clutesi, Saul Terry, Gordon Williams, Len Marchand, Peter Kelly, Chief Dan George, John Tetso, Mary Jane Sterling and Charles James Novell.
