In his third book, Canada's Arctic Sovereignty (self-published, distributed by Heritage House, 2004), Allan Macnutt cautions Canadians about the imminent dangers ahead of global warming. He warns Canadians who may not be aware of the threat to our northern people and northern resources. The global search for oil, gas, and precious metals will also endanger our sovereignty. His well-researched book covers the early history, future potential, and vulnerability of exploitation of Canada's mineral-rich yet environmentally delicate northern regions and the affects on Aboriginal existence. He believes that when other countries today are prepared to kill for access to oil, Canada's sovereignty is indeed at stake. Allan Macnutt, a retired pilot living in Abbotsford, wrote two previous books on aviation.
