A former realtor in British Columbia, Robert Nicholas Kucey recalls his childhood years on a Manitoba Indian reserve where his non-Aboriginal parents ran the general store in Giving Something Back (Hancock House, 2004). He also describes his friend, Tommy Prince, a Canadian war hero who was a descendant of Chief Peguis of the Ojibwas, and a winter spent in the Yukon in a teepee with an Aboriginal family.
