Susan M. Turner received her MA and PhD in Philosophy, having specialized in moral, social and political philosophy, from the University of Alberta in 1991 and 1995 respectively. She has taught part-time in the Philosophy department at the Unversity of Victoria since 1996 and received a Master's of Education degree from the UVic Faculty of Education in 2000. A single parent with three grown children, she is an avid cyclist and community volunteer.
