Holding a B.A. and M.A. in English Literature from UBC, Gordon Cavenaile is an ESL teacher in Vancouver. He is the author of Temporarily Quamless and Sinking: A Memoir (Cormorant, 2005) which follows the lives of four drug users on the West Coast from the 1970s to the turn of the millennium. As a study of addictions, it recounts trafficking, heroin use and drugstore breaking and enterings.
