Born in Vancouver and interned during World War II, Toronto-based architect Raymond Moriyama of the firm Moriyama & Teshima Architects designed Ottawa's City Hall, the Ontario Science Centre and the new Canadian War Museum. With a foreword by Adrienne Clarkson, his account of conceiving and building the museum is In Search of a Soul (Douglas & McIntyre 2006).
