An assistant professor of history at Simon Frasier University in Vancouver, Elise Chenier is the author of Strangers in Our Midst (2008). The book builds on her academic research in the area of sexual deviancy in the 20th century. She makes use of many interesting sources in her research, including medical reports and prison files, to examine and provide a critique on the state of sexual politics in Canadian policy.
