Jessica Ball is professor of Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria. She is the co-author of Supporting Indigenous Children's Development: Community-University Partnerships (UBC, 2007) in which an Aboriginal tribal council and the University of Victoria's School of Child and Youth Care form a partnership that creates a new approach to professional education which has been called a "generative curriculum."; This new method aims to design, deliver, and evaluate culturally appropriate programs through a newly strengthened community.
