Born in Kelowna on September 7, 1937, Cass Robinson of Penticton has been a college instructor and horse breeder. Her self-published book Celebrating Penticton Women - 1908 - 2008 (October 2007) was made available at the local level (ie. Penticton library, Okanagan Regional library and School District; art gallery, museum and visitors centre.) The book was a Centennial project for Penticton.

Robinson had a varied career including Industrial First Aid attendant at a remote coastal logging camp; news reporter for print and broadcast; horse breeder; first woman appointed Commission Race Steward for the BC Racing Commission; college instructor at four BC colleges; past president of the College Faculties Federation; and several other short-term jobs.
