As a graduate of the University of British Columbia's Creative Writing Department and a Political Science major at UBC, Janet Hudgins self-published her first novel, Treason: The Violation of Trust (Xlibris 2008). She was born in Nova Scotia on September 26, 1936 and came to B.C. in 1994. She is active in local politics and social justice issues. "I have written short stories winning a prize from Creekhouse Gallery and best of the year in "Tickled by Thunder," been published in "The Paperjourney," and I have written reviews and community events for local papers. As well, I have been a juror for a Canadian history book award and writing contests."
