Karl Herrmann of Vancouver is a cinematographer and globetrotting photographer who has gathered his extraordinary photos of Vancouver for a coffee table book Pacific Spirit - Vancouver (Nature Series $44.95), measuring 12" x 9". It has 110 color panoramic images of Vancouver and its surrounding natural environment in all four seasons. It features the Harry Jerome statue on its cover, at night, with the Pan Pacific sails in the background. Many of the most stunning shots were taken at night.

Herrmann has contributed his technical and visual skills to creating the Academy Award nominated Visual Effects for such Hollywood blockbuster movies as, "E.T.";, "The Right Stuff"; and "I, ROBOT'. Karl was also Director of Photography for television projects such as "Dawson's Creek";, "Touched by an Angel"; and the Cable Ace
winner, "America's Dream";. He is a member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers.

Herrmann's black and white landscape photography is collected internationally and is represented by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
